Free online games for a bored moment
No downloads, no sign-up, no nonsense. Pick a game and play straight away — on your phone, tablet or desktop.
- Adventure Memory Match — A classic concentration game with hand-drawn fantasy art. Five difficulties, from an 8-pair warm-up to a 50-pair Grand Master board.
- 2048 — Slide the board and matching numbers fuse together. Three board sizes: a cramped 3x3, the classic 4x4, and a roomier 5x5 with a higher target.
- Daily Five — A new word every day, the same one for everybody, with streaks and a shareable result grid. Plus a practice mode when one a day is not enough.
- Mini Crossword — A quick crossword with plain, fair clues and no cryptic tricks. A new grid every day, the same for everyone, or a fresh one whenever you like.
- Crowns — A colourful logic puzzle in the queens family. No two crowns may share a row, column or region, or even touch at a corner. A new board every day.
- Flow — Drag a pipe from one dot to its pair. Pipes cannot cross, and every square has to end up covered — which is the part that makes it a puzzle. A new board daily, or play your own.
- Mahjong — The classic tile matcher. Take pairs of matching tiles that nothing rests on, until the board is empty. Four layouts, one of them shaped to fit a phone. Every layout is built backwards from a finished game, so all of them can be cleared.
- Minesweeper — The classic. Numbers tell you how many mines touch a square. A flag button rather than a long press, so it works properly on a phone. Three difficulties.
- Nonogram — Also called Picross or Griddlers. A shared picture every day, bigger at weekends — or play your own. Always solvable by logic alone, never by guessing.
- Quartets — Every word belongs to exactly one group of four — but plenty look as if they belong to two. A new puzzle daily, from plain lists up to wordplay.
- Snake — The arcade classic. Steer with the arrow keys or a swipe, eat to grow longer, and keep clear of the walls and yourself. Three speeds, walls optional.
- Solitaire — Draw one card or three, with undo and replay. Pick winnable deals and a solver checks every game before you see it, so you never get a hand that cannot be won. Easier deals go gentle on the guesswork.
- Sudoku — A daily 9x9 that everyone plays, getting harder through the week — or pick your own from 4x4 to 12x12. Every puzzle has exactly one solution.
- Sun & Moon — A binary logic puzzle, also known as Takuzu or Binairo. Every row and column holds as many suns as moons, with signs between squares to guide you.
- Word Search — Themed boards from animals to outer space. Easy boards read across and down; hard ones hide words in all eight directions, backwards included.
